1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Shannon Donaldson, operating as TradeReflect ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use TradeReflect at tradereflect.ai. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information: Account information: Your email address and password when you create an account. Trade data: Trade history you import via CSV or manual entry, including ticker symbols, prices, sizes, timestamps, and calculated P&L. Journal data: Daily notes and mood entries you write in the trade journal. Usage data: How you interact with the Service, including pages visited and features used. Payment information: Payment details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. Communications: Emails you send to hello@tradereflect.ai.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide and operate the Service; (b) generate AI coaching feedback on your trades; (c) send you account-related emails including confirmation, weekly recaps, and important notices; (d) process payments through Stripe; (e) improve the Service; and (f) respond to your support requests. We do not use your trade data to train AI models beyond generating your own personalized coaching feedback.
4. AI Coaching and Your Data
When you request AI coaching on a trade, your trade data (ticker, entry/exit prices, timestamps, and chart data) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate coaching feedback. This data is processed according to Anthropic's data usage policies. We also retrieve historical market chart data from Polygon.io using your trade timestamps. No personally identifiable information is sent to Polygon.io.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a managed database platform. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access to your data is restricted by row-level security policies — you can only access your own data. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only with the following third-party service providers as necessary to operate the Service: Stripe — payment processing Supabase — data storage and authentication Anthropic — AI coaching generation Polygon.io — market chart data Resend — transactional email delivery Vercel — website hosting Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing their use of data.
7. Email Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails including account confirmation, welcome emails, weekly trading recaps, and important account notices. You can opt out of non-essential emails by contacting us at hello@tradereflect.ai. You cannot opt out of essential transactional emails such as account confirmation or billing notifications.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes. Trade data and journal entries are deleted along with your account.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your account and associated data; (d) export your trade data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@tradereflect.ai.
10. Cookies
TradeReflect uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and improve your experience. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the Service.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@tradereflect.ai and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
